Purchase Orders with Backorders
When goods arrive at your warehouse, the purchase order will be marked as 'delivered'. As soon as the purchase order has a status of 'delivered', you can easily take delivery or unpack the goods via the menu 'purchase orders'. How to take delivery of a purchase order, you can read in "taking delivery of purchase orders". It is possible that not everything was delivered that you requested. In that case, Webship Online will create a backorder for you.
Backorder
Webship Online automatically creates a backorder for the SKUs and items that were announced but not delivered. A backorder can be easily found using the original order number with suffix '-BO'. Multiple backorders can therefore be created from one purchase order. When? If, when delivering the backorder again, items are not delivered.
What has been delivered
If a purchase order has one or more backorders, how do you keep track of it? Webship Online makes it very easy for you! From the original purchase order, you can always see how many backorders have been created and therefore have an overview of the total order. From the original purchase order, you can not only see the number of backorders, but also an overview of what has been delivered across all backorders. This means that you can quickly see on the original purchase order what you have received in total. You don't need to calculate yourself and add up different purchase orders (backorders) with each other.
