Creating Products
Via the menu 'Products', you can immediately click on the 'plus' symbol to create a new product in Webship Online.
For creating a product, the application requires only the product code or SKU named, but we always recommend filling in as much information as possible.
E-commerce Platform
If an e-commerce platform is linked to Webship Online, you will always have the option to create the product either directly on the linked e-commerce platform. Furthermore, you can choose to forward inventory changes to the linked e-commerce platform.

Barcode
The barcode can be used in addition to the product code to identify a product. When selling your products in physical stores or on certain online marketplaces, a barcode is usually mandatory. This will be a unique EAN code, which you can obtain from the relevant authority to ensure that no product receives the same EAN code. You can then enter this barcode again in Webship Online (type EAN or Code39).

Inventory
If you have entered the minimum inventory, you will receive an indication in the product overview as soon as the minimum inventory is reached. A handy tool to ensure that you do not run out of stock. You can also choose a inventory type such as LIFO, FIFO, and FEFO.

Product Information
To make the product card as complete as possible, product information is an important factor. In this field, you can add product images. Furthermore, you can enter a detailed product description. This product description will be passed on to the linked e-commerce platform.

Product Properties
By entering the weight, you can perform a weight check to avoid errors during the packaging of an order. Entering the dimensions (width, height, and length) ensures another control again. In the future, Webship Online will even suggest which shipping box you should use for products whose dimensions have been entered. The picking unit simplifies picking (for example '1 box', '1 bottle', '1 piece', '1 glass', '1 set', etc.).

Price
The purchase price ensures that you can check the total inventory value at any time. By entering the sales price, you can then quickly calculate your profit margin per product.

Supplier
The supplier information should not be missing when creating a new product either. You can immediately link a specific supplier to the product and, if desired, enter the SKU of the supplier. In this way, you can quickly order from the supplier. The minimum order quantity and order multiple can also be interesting fields. By entering these fields, you know how many pieces you must order at least from the suppliers or per quantity that you must order, for example, per box of 50 pieces.
