Sales Order Picking

You can pick one or multiple sales orders simultaneously. This is possible in two different ways: either on paper or digitally (beta). Which of the two you choose, you decide completely yourself.

Paper Picking

Select one or more sales orders with the status "ready for picking" in the order overview list. A green button 'Start pick' will appear at the top of your screen. This button is dual-purpose: when you click on 'Start pick', automatic paper picking will start, and if you click on the arrow icon on the right side of the button, you will be given the choice between paper picking or digital picking.

Paper Picking

When you choose to do paper picking, a PDF (A4 format) will open on your screen with the first page being the pick slip and then for each order, the pack slip. The pick slip displays all locations in chronological order that you must visit during this pick round, as well as the product to be picked, including the quantity and order number. The pack slip contains the order details (without locations) and a barcode.

The easiest way to do paper picking is by using an order collection cart with X-number of warehouse bins (depending on the average order size or number of orders you pick at once). Then, place one pack slip in each bin, and use the pick slip to mark off the already visited locations and picking products as you walk through the warehouse.

At the end of the pick round, you can set down the bins at the packing table and the packer can scan the barcode to get the order directly on their screen.

Digital Picking (beta)

The digital picking is currently a beta version but already usable in Webship Online. Digital picking starts in the same way as paper picking, only do this best on a tablet or another mobile device.

Digital Picking

In the first screen of the digital pick process, you will get an overview of the number of orders to be picked and locations to visit, so you can prepare your order collection cart with enough warehouse bins.

Then, our application will take you to each location in the pick round and clearly indicate how many items of which product need to be picked. For each new order in the pick round, you must assign a warehouse bin to that specific order. Via a swipe movement, you can both confirm the pick location and the number of picked items.

Start Digital Picking

After digital picking, you can place all picked orders on status 'ready for packing' in one move, and these will automatically appear on the packing screen. The packer does not need to refresh their screen; everything is updated in real-time.

?> Tip By setting up the right filters on the order overview list (e.g., "show all orders with only one SKU and one item"), you can pick orders more quickly and efficiently.

?> Tip When using this beta digital picking, it's best to print out the pack slips in advance for each order you want to pick. This way, you can have them ready in each warehouse bin. Later, we will ensure that the packer can scan the bins to get the correct order on their screen. Printing out the pack slips can be done in bulk by selecting one or more orders in the order overview list.
